The strength and validity of the Racing Dog Protection Act has been ackowledged by a number of animal welfare organisations. The World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), the largest animal welfare alliance in the world, are the latest to show their support for the RDPA.

  MARIA DAINES fronts a hard rock band playing original material written by Maria & guitarist Paul Killington. Hailing from Cambridgeshire, UK, they formed in 1996 becoming a fixture of the live music scene & making several TV appearances, gathering fans in over 20 countries. Aired on BBC and FM stations, the band opened for US artist Pink at Cardiff International Arena, the concert raised over £90,000 for six animal welfare charities.
 
 
ANDREW LINZEY held the world’s first academic post in Ethics, Theology and Animal Welfare — the Bede Jarret Senior Research Fellowship at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford. Andrew Linzey is the director of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics, opened in November 2006.

NICHOLAS BALL is best known for playing the title role of James Hazell in the television series Hesell. He recently portrayed the violent gangster Terry Bates in East Enders.

International Animal Protection Groups
 
The World Society for the Protection of Animals is an international non profit animal welfare organisation and also a federation of such organisations and active in over 150 countries with more than 1000 member societies.
 
PETA US and PETA Europe are dedicated to establishing and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA Europe work through public education, research, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement  and protest campaigns.
 
The Fédération Cynologique Internationale is the World Canine Organisation. It includes 84 members and contract partners (one member per country) that each issue their own pedigrees and train their own judges. The FCI makes sure that the pedigrees and judges are mutually recognized by all the FCI members.
 
As an umbrella organization of 175 member national associations, VDH represents more than 650,000 members.  About 250 different breeds are bred in the clubs of the VDH and maintained under the strictest controls bred. 
 
Djurens Rätt (Animal Rights Sweden), is the largest animal rights organisation in Scandinavia, with a membership of about 36 000 (to be compared to Sweden’s entire population of 9 million). Animal Rights Sweden was formed in 1882 with the mission to end painful animal experiments. This organisation is a member of the Eurogroup for Animals.

Animal Aid is the UK's largest animal rights group and one of the longest established in the world, having been founded in 1977. Launch regular undercover investigations into factory farms, gamebird rearing operations, the horse racing industry and livestock markets.
 
The main reason for the formation of FAACE was to fight against the cruelty inflicted on the Spanish animals in the Blood Fiestas and Bullfighting in the name of entertainment. The organization works to create a new ethic of treatment for animals. FAACE specializes in making in-depth investigations and studies of the reasons underlying the problems.

Quaker Concern for Animals works for the protection of animals and the promotion of their rights, by characteristic Quaker means.
 
The Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals
The Anglican Society for the Welfare of Animals is a UK based Christian organisation. Their main aim is to raise awareness of animal welfare issues within the Anglican Church and the wider Christian community.
 
Captive Animals' Protection Society
Founded in 1957, CAPS is the leading charity campaigning to end the use of all animals in circuses and other forms of entertainment.

GREY2K USA
GREY2K USA is a national non-profit organization dedicated to passing stronger greyhound protection laws and ending the cruelty of dog racing in USA. “GREY2K USA and the GREY2K USA Education Fund wholeheartedly support the campaign to end the cruelty of dog racing in the United Kingdom, and enthusiastically endorse the passage of the Racing Dog Protection Act."
 
Greyhound Action
Greyhound Action are the oldest greyhound campaign group in the UK. They campaign outside a number of stadiums and since their campaign began in 1997, more than 20 UK greyhound tracks have been forced to close, they have also been instrumental in preventing over a dozen proposed ones from opening.
